FALL IS THE SEASON OF COLOR AND FUN 
We will soon be surrounded by an explosion of yellow, orange and red amongst the background of Pines. It is a gorgeous site! What a beautiful time of year for a getaway!

Thanks to the rainy spring, everything around us is green and beautiful!
The weather has warmed up and the fish are biting.

Just when we thought spring was here, we were gifted with another 8 in. of snow!
The good sign is that the birds stuck it out through the storm, so I'm sure spring is still on the way. They did seem confused, and clung to the bird feeder!
This is the busiest time of year for us, getting everything ready for our guests.
We're looking forward to the beautiful warm weather and to seeing good friends again and meeting new ones.
Remember that we have reduced rates before May 23rd!

I can't believe that it August already! The summer is going so fast!
We have had a very busy summer with good weather and great fishing.
Everyone is enjoying the beach with our new water toys, and making memories with family and friends.
It is so much fun to hear the laughter of the kids playing and hear the tales of the BIG CATCH. I want to hold on to every moment.
(I better go take some pictures!) |

| Gearing up for a new season |

As we busily get ready for the new summer season, it is difficult not to get caught up in the beauty of Nature that surrounds us. Everything is coming back to life. It's amazing to listen to endless variety of songs from the birds and the wonderful calls from the loons on the lake.
We've had some great rains, so everything is lush green and beautiful.
We are looking forward to sharing all of this beauty with YOU, our valued guests.

| Christmas in August |

This is Christmas week for one of our families. Several years ago,Grandma
got frustrated trying to get the family together for Christmas.With the addition of inlaws and grandchildren, the problem only got worse. Shopping for everyone also became a huge chore.
She came up with a wonderful solution. She rented cabins at Cedar Bay Resort for a week in August. Now ever year the whole family comes, complete with presents,Christmas cookies,a Christmas tree, and Christmas lights they hang up by the beach! They also bring boats, skis, tubes, and lots of water toys.
They have a relaxed place to have a great time together without the stress of the Holiday season. What a great idea! |

| THE BIG FISH !!! |

July 29, 2005-The day of the big fish! All we could say was WOW, when 8 year old Dustin came to our door. He was carrying an 8 1/2 pound WALLEYE! What a beauty! Dustin has been staying here with his family this week, and they have been having great luck fishing all week-catching lots of Crappies,including 2 almost 2 pounds.
Dustin's Dad made him bring the fish in himself, and he did a great job.
His parents were just as excited as he was.
Congratulations, Dustin!
Still have late summer/fall openings if you are itchin'to get away! The waters still warm, clear, and beautiful.
